The High Performance Computer (HPC) Conference aims to bring together potential and existing users of the facility from across campus in an informal atmosphere to exchange ideas, techniques and experiences. The day will involve presentations from new and experienced users and everyone will have the opportunity to present their research in poster format.

Please note the deadline for accepting abstracts for posters and talks is 3rd April 2018.
The HPC facility is a vital tool for an increasing number of researchers who need easy access to substantial computing resources.
The HPC service is available to any research student or member of academic staff, from any School or Faculty, who has the need for computer resource substantially greater than a standard PC.

UNICAS (University of Nottingham Interdisciplinary Centre for Analytical Science) is a long-standing University initiative which brings together cross-discipline groups and funds exciting, novel research projects involving analytical science.
Each year we organise sandpit events to facilitiate face to face networking between different faculties, schools and departments. We fund novel and scientifically excellent research projects arising from these sandpits.

Please note that there are 2 types of UNICAS sandpits, each with different funding amounts available, eligibility criteria and application forms. Whilst attendance at either Sandpit type is open to all as a networking opportunity, there are application restrictions based on job role/student status for both schemes. The lead applicant must have attended a sandpit corresponding to the scheme for which they are applying. See the UNICAS website for further details about the 2 schemes.
